Semester OVER!!

The semester is almost over! WOW! It has been an amazing ride! I have definitly seen the blessings of doing the little things. So far this semester, I have edit/produced to short films about me for the Canyons Dream Job and my Advertising Application. I didn't end up getting the Canyons Job but that same video help land me a SICK internship with an Advertising Firm my professor owns, LAVA 7. I will be helping in new advertising ideas so raise money for the Crown Clients, a group of dentists who donate FREE smiles every year to people in their community and around the world.

In making those 2 videos, I learned how to use Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects in just one semester. As well, I fabricated a campaign booklet for the Pringles Brand, in my advertising class. With that booklet, I learned how to use Photoshop and illustrator. Pretty much, I've become a nerd with computer stuff, because i love spending my time creating new things and learning the programs. I decided to fully invest in them. I'm buying the Adobe production package along with my new Macbook Pro that I'm getting for Christmas!!! :) All of which will come in handy for my internship starting in Jan! So pumped! I'm not even in the program yet and I've already been able to get an Advertising internship. All this would definitly not be possible without the Lords help! This whole semester has been a testimony to me that God is there, and he knows who I am.

This semester I've also become BFF with my lil' sis! We do Ghetto nights, where we go and eat-out at some ghetto place around Provo. Its been fun to get together every week and chill. I love her! And alot of the qualities she has, I hope my future wife has. I wanna marry my Best Friend... so she better be like my sis :)

For X-mas break, I'm headed to Disneyland with the Playmill Cast (where I worked this summer doing theater). My boss is flying us all out and paying for EVERYTHING! So NICE! Can't wait.

I'll get back on the 23rd, spend Christmas with my family and goof off with my brother in laws. I need to get a new phone for my internship too, so i'm looking at etither a droid or a samsung smartphone. We'll see.

Once the 30th hits, my lil sis and I fly out to NYC for 5 days and get to goof off in Times Square! It's going to be CRAZY! So excited! 2010 has been a Great YEAR of CHANGE and PROGRESSION!! :)

Second to Last Blog Post

I recently helped out my dad with his online advertising for his dentist office. I searched him on google and found that google maps had his office in several wrong locations and that his website was really out-dated. I talked to my Dad and now I am in charge of the online advertising for Towne Square Dental. I fixed his google search maps, created a page on Facebook for his office, and will be sending in updates for his webpage to the people that run it for him.

I love being able to use my major now instead of after I graduate!! :)

Last Blog in Advertising

I love passing these billboards once I come into Utah. They are different than any Ad because they are promoting values to their audience (Everyone)! These ads all show that advertising doesn't always have to be controversial or about gaining traffic and sales. They can be for the benefit of mankind. Thumbs Up!!

Another Day at the Office (My Dream Job)

Eyes open! It seems as if my sub-conscience had the embedded thought of what I was to do this morning. I woke up ten minutes before my alarm, something that never happens unless pure passion is running through my veins. I grab my gear and pop-tart knowing very well that I don't need any breakfast; I've got all the nutrition I need being fueled by the adrenaline preparing me for the slopes. The forty minute drive flashes by as the accompanying thoughts of what today's attempts will unfold on the mountain- my natural place of work. Slipping into my boots and tightening on my goggles, these are my tools of success that help me accomplish my goals at work. With board in hand and a camera in my pack, I'm ready for another amazing day at the office- my Canyons Dream Job!

Sample of how I truly will live every morning in my Dream Job and how I will write some of my experiences on my Blog! Can't Wait!

Thanksgivin & Sweaters

Thanksgiving Time! I got to eat dinner with the George fam today :) I've always been really skeptical about the George side being so different from my family but today was different. This will probably my Grandpa George's last Thxgivin, and I love how our whole family really came together and supported one another.

All the single kids (me included) got to go down to the basement, but it's really fun because everyone is now in college and just living different lives, making it so we were all able to connect in a unique way!

My little sis and I wore sick sweaters that we got from my Grandma C.

I love Holiday times!! It's all about the family! My lil sis and I are the last ones who are still single in the fam and we bring a fun spirit to my parents! I love it! Keeps us young and in check.

I also got to do some Advertising for my pops today. I Googled his dentist office and noticed his google.maps location was incorrect and that his website was really out of date. I am the new Advertising Manager for my dad's office and I'm going to get his website up-to-date and out there for the online world to see. I'm excited to learn more about google and building my dad's business. My major at work! ROCKS!!

More Views/Votes on my vid

I my Canyons Dream Job video went live on the Canyons website last friday and i've already got 586 views as of 5 min. ago. Its kind of unfair because the guy in first is in a wheelchair and then the other people who have the most views just had their videos submitted forever ago, so when people get on the website, they automatically look at those first few. O WELL... that's Life! I've sent messages on Fbook, twitter, and ever sent in some mock articles to local papers about it! I hope something will get my views and votes up. I'm already on the 4th page for Most Popular and the 2nd page for Most Voted! Just gotta get HIGHER!!!

If you haven't yet or even if you have :) Watch and Vote on my video! Share it with ur friends, Post this on your status, blog, anything! Thx!!

Huge Snow Storm Survival

I drove into the Storm of the Century today or so it seemed!

I was traveling from Provo, UT to home (Rigby, ID) and the weather report stated that a storm was coming like no other. When leaving Provo, it was hard to believe. There wasn't any storm clouds in the sky and it wasn't even snowing. Even on the road, we kept joking back n forth because we just couldn't believe that the roads and storm could be that bad- we were wrong. Once we hit Brigham City, we saw this huge cloud of darkness that just covered the mountains and the whole landscape north of us.

Once we were engulfed by this wall of obscurity, the snow came and the cars started to decrease in numbers. We probably got hit with huge gusts of wind for over 20 mins, where I literally couldn't see anything in front of me, not even the lines on the side of the road! Crusin at a steady 35-40 mph, we made to Malad. The daring tahoe in front of us really kept me on track. My theory in storms like that is, just follow the bigger car in front of you and stay right in his tracks. WORKS EVERYTIME... unless that person goes off the road :( But that didn't happen.

After a lovely 5+ hr drive from Provo to Rigby, we arrived at home safe and sound. It was a fun drive!
